What to include
- A real introduction
- A friendly photo and a few sentences in your own voice: how long you've been sitting, the ages you love, what a night with you looks like.
- The care you offer
- Babysitting, pet sitting, house sitting, or a mix — and the ages, pets, and kinds of households you're comfortable with.
- Your rates
- A rate for each kind of care, plus anything you add for extra kids or pets, overnights, or holidays. Clear rates up front save an awkward conversation later.
- Training and certifications
- CPR, first aid, childcare or pet-care training. Parents notice these.
- Your availability
- The days and times you're usually free, kept current — with vacations and school commitments marked off.
Recommendations matter most
A parent reading your profile wants to know one thing above all: would someone like me trust you? A recommendation from a family they know answers that better than anything you write about yourself.
So ask the families you sit for. Most are happy to recommend a sitter they love — they just need to be asked.
